Create Your Own Space
When you create a ShopTalk account, your organization gets its own private space on our servers. All you need to do is pick a URL for your company.
Only the first user creates the organization's URL. Everyone else receives a direct link to that URL in an invitation email. They'll only need to provide their name and pick a password in order to join the discussion.
Invite The Whole Crew
ShopTalk makes it easy to sit in all the rooms which are relevant to you. The tabs for background rooms will even highlight instantly to alert you of activity. Switching rooms couldn't be simpler, either. Just click a tab or use the arrow keys on your keyboard. You can always scroll the conversation back infinitely in every room, in case you miss out on important discussions.
Anyone can invite other participants at any time. Sometimes you really need to get
a team together to hash something out. Don't be shy about inviting the same person
multiple times if they don't respond the first time!

Share Files With Your Team
Sometimes sharing a conversation with your coworkers just isn't enough. Luckily, ShopTalk makes it quick and painless to share files with them as well. Files are displayed as links right in the chat stream, and image files even display as thumbnails automatically.
You can select multiple files to share at once and they'll all be sent to the chat room. ShopTalk displays a friendly progress bar so you can watch your files upload.
Rooms A-Plenty
You can create any number of rooms in your account. The rooms make it easy to separate out your discussions by team, project, or topic. Most rooms are long-standing and the conversation can easily be referenced for months or even years in the past. However, the Join tab makes it super easy for anyone to create new rooms as needed.
If one of your coworkers summons you to a new room, you can just click its name here to
join it. You might want to scroll the conversation back a bit (Page Up on your keyboard)
so that you're up to speed before you join the discussion.

the name and topic of each room right here.
